Themeda australis ( formerly Themeda triandra) Common Name: Kangaroo Grass Family: Poaceae Location: Australia wide – Local to the Central Coast Flower Colour: Fawns – brown Soil: All soils Drainage: No water-logging or over watering Exposure: Full sun Cover: Height – 1.2 m x Width – clumping grass Water: Water during dry periods Danger: Grass blades can cut skin; seed has a barb on base Prune: After seeding, clean dead grass away, prune approx. 50 mm from ground Attracts: Seed eating birds This plant is in a 3.5”/9cm square forestry pot.
