 General meeting - guest speaker Luke Foster from the Office of Environment and Heritage. Luke is working on the ‘Saving our Species’ Program and is responsible for projects looking at protecting threatened species. Luke will talk to us about some of the projects he and the Hunter Central Coast team are working on.

 General meeting - guest speaker Andrew Pengelly - The presentation is based on activities conducted at Herbal Field schools occasionally conducted in the Hunter Valley and elsewhere. The focus is on making plant medicines, distillation of native species and field botany. Samples of essential oils and medicines prepared from  Australian plants will be exhibited, along with representative plant materials.

 General meeting - guest speaker Catriona Bate and Phil Trickett - The title of our talk will be ‘Bringing more Isopogons and Petrophiles into cultivation’. The talk will introduce these genera and cover the characteristics of isopogons and petrophiles, their distribution and cultivation, and also look at what the study group is doing. We will also recommend the best isopogons and petrophiles for growing in NSW gardens.

Plant Fair at the Wetlands.  Volunteers are required from 7.30am to help in setting up, sales and packing up.
