     Brian Faulkner from Goulburn Council will share updates on local environmental initiatives and the role of native plants in community projects.

    Join Southern Tablelands for a Field Trip to South’s Reserve & Gundary TSR

    Come along with the Southern Tablelands Group for an exciting field trip to South’s Reserve and Gundary Travelling Stock Reserve (TSR), just outside Goulburn. These reserves showcase a diverse range of native flora and provide a perfect setting to explore the natural beauty of the region.

    This trip offers a chance to observe native plants in their natural habitat, discuss species identification, and learn about local conservation efforts. It’s also a great opportunity to connect with fellow native plant enthusiasts while enjoying the scenic landscapes.

    Remember to bring comfortable walking shoes, a hat, water, and your camera to capture the day’s discoveries. Whether you’re new to the group or a seasoned member, this field trip promises to be both educational and inspiring!

    Join Southern Tablelands for a Field Trip to the Corn Trail – Monga National Park

    Step back in time with the Southern Tablelands Group as we explore the historic Corn Trail Walking Track in Monga National Park, located off the Kings Highway southeast of Braidwood. This scenic trail follows an old bridle path once used for transporting corn to the coast and winds through diverse landscapes, from towering eucalypt forests to cool temperate rainforests.

    Along the way, we’ll encounter a rich array of native flora, including ancient tree ferns, unique mosses, and rare rainforest species. It’s a fantastic opportunity to learn about the unique ecosystems of this region and appreciate the natural beauty that thrives in these protected environments.

    Join Southern Tablelands for a Spring Field Trip to Wog Wog – Morton National Park

    Celebrate the beauty of spring with the Southern Tablelands Group on a field trip to Wog Wog, located in the western precinct of Morton National Park near Braidwood. This area comes alive in spring, showcasing a spectacular display of wildflowers, including vibrant grevilleas, delicate boronias, and colorful pea flowers set against the backdrop of rugged sandstone outcrops and open woodlands.

    As we explore, we’ll have the chance to identify a variety of native flora, discuss their ecological significance, and enjoy the rich biodiversity of this unique landscape. The area is also known for its dramatic views and tranquil bushland, making it a perfect spot for both plant enthusiasts and nature lovers alike.
