Banksia ericifolia Common Name: Heath Banksia Family: Proteaceae Location: Central Coast & North Sydney to Jervis Bay – Local to the Central Coast Flower Colour: Yellow to reddish – orange spikes Flowers: Spring, summer & autumn Soil: Prefers sandy to clay loam Drainage: Good drainage but will tolerate damp areas Exposure: Full sun to partial shade Cover: Height - 1 – 7 m x Width - 1.5 m Water: Normal rainfall Danger: Will tolerate light frost Prune: Shape Attracts: Nectar eating birds, native bees; butterflies.
