Petrophile sessilis Common Name: Prickly conesticks Family: Proteaceae Location: Central Coast to Jervis Bay - Local to the Central Coast Flower Colour: Creamy yellow Flowers: May to February Soil: Any soil – open Drainage: Must be FREE draining Exposure: Dappled sun or free from afternoon sun Growth habit: Height – 3 M x Width –1 M Water: Assured moisture level Danger: In summer, water in early morning. Susceptible to Phytophthora Cinnamomi when wet and hot Prune: Prune to shape after flowering. Fruit: Cone shaped Attracts: Butterflies This plant is in a 6”/15cm pot.
