Flowers: Spring, summer or winter – depends on rain.
Soil: Sandy to Clay loam – deep, as it draws the ‘bulb’ down.
Drainage: Well drained
Exposure: Sun to light shade
Growth habit: Height – 2 to 4 m x Width – 2 to 3 m
Water: Loves moisture
Danger: When grown from seed, 7 to 8 years to flower. Cuttings - 3 to 4 years
Prune: Remove flower spike.
Attracts: Insects and birds
