Ajuga australis Common name: Austral Bugle Family: Lamiaceae Type: Groundcover Size: 15cm high, 15cm wide. Naturally occurring: Widespread in southern and eastern Australia, including Central Coast Flowers: Purple Flowering period: Spring Soil/drainage: Moist, well-drained soil. Sun Exposure: Prefers semi shade, but will grow in full shade to full sun. Other features: Attractive foliage. Spreads naturally by lateral roots, but is not invasive.
