Naturally occurring: Damp places, pond edges. Native to eastern Australia, Tasmania and New Zealand
Flowers: Small blue flowers
Flowering Period: Spring and Summer
Soil/Drainage: Needs very moist soil. If in a pot, keep in a dish of water.
Sun exposure: Dappled shade or Full Sun
Other features: Useful beside ponds or water gardens. In combination with rushes and other aquatic plants, provides habitat for frogs.
