Walk in the Royal National Park: Wises Track

  • 27 Jul 2019
  • 9:30 AM - 2:30 PM

Walk along Wises Track, Southern End. We will meet at the southern end of the Wises Track at 9.30 am. for a 2.5km walk to Karani Ridge, returning to our vehicles around 2.30 pm (5.5km total). The first few hundred metres will be damp under-foot; people wearing sneakers will have to hop and skip. On this walk we will have the burnt area on the southern side (January, 2018 fire), and the unburnt, established heath on the northern. The southern side has been slow regenerating and there are not a great deal of flowers there at present, however, there are enough to attract good interest. Near the half-way point there are two colourful Tetrathecas, there will be Blandfordias (Christmas in July?), Boronias and lots more.

Bring your morning tea, lunch, and drinking water. (9.00 a.m. at Sutherland near the Leisure Centre for those who would like a lift.)
