By special invitation, Hannah McPherson will conduct a tour for the group of the new facilities of the National Herbarium of NSW.
For the past two years Hannah has worked as Collections Manager at the Herbarium and has overseen the relocation of the collections from the Royal Botanic Gardens in Sydney to their new home at Mount Annan. Hannah spoke about her team's work at the group meeting in September.
Hannah has more than 25 years’ experience in botany, a BSc in environmental science and a PhD in Botany. She has worked as a curator at the John T. Waterhouse Herbarium (UNSW), the Natural History Museum in London, Herbarium Hamburgense in Germany and for twelve years at the National Herbarium of NSW. She has a background in archives and paper conservation and has worked with many historically significant herbarium, library and archive collections in Australia and overseas.
