Southern Tablelands - World Wetlands Day & plant sale

  • 1 Feb 2023
  • 8:30 AM
  • Goulburn Wetlands, off May St

Join APS Southern Tablelands and other local groups in celebrating World Wetlands Day, from 8.30 am on 01 Feb. Please note this is one day earlier than in many other world-wide locations.

The group has been involved in the Goulburn Wetlands project for some years, propagating local species for planting at the Wetlands, with some members also volunteering at the site.

APS Southern Tablelands also propagates native Australian plants suitable for the challenging Goulburn conditions. They are showcased in the group's Australian Native Garden at the Wetlands. This garden was set up, and is still worked on, by APS member volunteers.

Open to all.

Plants for sale in the morning.

Other activities: There are bird hides around the Wetlands and Goulburn Field Naturalists will hold bird appreciation walks. Frogs Landcare Inc. -  Friends & Residents of Goulburn Swamplands - will hold walks and talks on how they constructed the wetlands from the left over brick-making pits.
