About the Walks & talks
Hear a talk by members of the North Shore group of the Australian Plants Society then be guided on a walk in the Ku-ring-gai Wildflower Garden to see and learn about our focus species as they come into flower.
All welcome. No prior knowledge is required and information sheets are provided.
Term 3 - Spring (most sessions in terms 2-4 include talk and walk)
Mondays as follows:
July 17 Walk only: KWG to Phillip Rd St Ives return 2:30pm
July 24 Gum trees: Eucalypts, Angophora, Corymbia (Family Myrtaceae)
July 31 Grevillea and Hakea (Family Proteaceae)
Aug 7 Heath plants (Family Ericaceae)
Aug 14 Boronia and other members of Family Rutaceae
Aug 21 Acacia (Family Fabaceae, Subfamily Mimosoideae)
Aug 28 Sedges, rushes & restiads
Sept 4 Pea shrubs and vines (Family Fabaceae, Subfamily Faboideae)
Sept 11 Ferns and fernery tour
Sept 18 Weeds and bush regeneration
Meet at 9.45am at Caley's Pavilion in KWG. Sessions run for about 2 hours, unless a later return time is indicated. No bookings necessary. Sessions are free.

Walks are easy / medium. Wear a hat, suitable footwear and bring water / snack. Also consider sunscreen and insect repellent.
