Northern Beaches - Meeting & talk: Natural methods of pest management

The speaker will be Piret May.  She is a horticulturist at Sydney’s Royal Botanic Gardens.

Piret has worked throughout the industry for almost 10 years though today she is a horticulturist at the Botanic Gardens of Sydney. Totalling an area of 7000sqm, she manages the Herb Garden, Camellia Garden and Native Rainforest. In recent years, Piret's interest has focused on insects, both pest and beneficial, and the role they play in the greater scheme of a garden/environment. Piret will aim to highlight her experiences (both positive and negative) of managing pests, encouraging beneficials and incorporating an integrative approach pest management in your garden
