  • Western side of Armidale Bicentennial Arboretum, entrance from Galloway St

Held on the last Saturday of the month, September to November in the native plant section on the western side of the Arboretum, entrance from Galloway Street.

Tasks include planting, mulching, weed control, watering if needed and any necessary trimming. It is essential to wear appropriate clothings for the work. Details for each month can be obtained from apsarmidale@gmail.com.

All activities are managed by Patrick Laher, the APS Arboretum Coordinator since the late 1990s. He procures new material for planting and liaises with Armidale Council which supplies mulch and removes garden rubbish.

BYO morning tea for the break.

The native gardens section was designed as part of the Bicentennial Arboretum Plan by APS member Maria Hitchcock OAM.
