Join Central Coast APS Group for an engaging afternoon exploring
AUSTRALIAN NATIVE PLANTS FOR BONSAI
Featuring: AusZen Garden Technique with Olga

Discover how native Australian plants can be shaped into beautiful bonsai forms using the AusZen technique — a style that blends traditional Japanese garden principles with a uniquely Australian perspective.

Olga, a long-time APS member, brings a wealth of expertise as a wholesale nursery owner, native plant propagator, horticulturist, strategic planner, and landscape gardener. She will introduce us to AusZen pruning, a practice that reflects the character of the Australian landscape through the artistry of native bonsai.

Key species discussed will include:
Pherosphaera fitzgeraldii (Microstrobos fitzgeraldii),
Casuarina glauca ‘Greenwave’,
Homoranthus decumbens,
Darwinia taxifolia, and
Podocarpus lawrencei.
