Jill Dark is a keen birder, botanist, conservationist and mentor. Jill has been a key member of the Blue Mountains Conservation Society and the Australian Plant Society. She is the co-author of three Native Plants of the Upper Blue Mountains books, she worked with WIRES and Blue Mountains Bird Observers for many years and she regularly leads nature and bird walks in the local area. "I have lived in the Blue Mountains since 1968. Over the years I have worked with Blue Mountains Conservation Society, Australian Plant Society, Bushcare, Wires and Blue Mountains Bird Observers. I have lead walks, given talks, rehabilitated birds and animals. I co-authored books on Blue Mountains plants, and ran Bird Courses for Wires groups for many years. I spend as much time as I can in the bush and there is always something new to marvel at."
