Join APS Newcastle for a free talk with Christine Dodd of Street Appeal Garden Solutions.
Christine is part of the Australia-wide movement to bring more nature and habitat back into suburban gardens. She discovered her passion for Australian native plants in her 30s while living in Hilldale, and after 15 years as a Primary School Teacher, transitioned into a career in horticulture — moving “from the classroom to the garden.”
In this presentation on Australian Habitat Gardening, Christine will share practical ideas for creating gardens that support wildlife, including butterflies, birds and beneficial insects. Drawing on her experience and garden projects, she will demonstrate how thoughtful plant selection and design can transform suburban spaces into thriving habitat.
General Meeting starts at 7:30 pm.
All members and their guests are warmly invited. A bush food supper will follow — bush food plates to share are welcome.
